Spicy Grilled Cheese Sandwich Recipe
This grilled cheese sandwich is a brilliant innovation on a favorite American
recipe. This one’s easy to cook. Not to mention, it also adds a little bit of zing to a
tried and tested formula. Say cheese!

2 loaves/slices of sourdough bread | |
½ cup shredded Cheddar cheese (or 2 slices cheddar cheese) | |
2 tbsp. jalapeno pepper, finely chopped | |
½ tbsp. Habanero Pepper, finely chopped | |
1 ½ tbsp. Sriracha | |
3 tbsp. butter |

1. Mix the sriracha sauce into slightly melted butter. We’ll use this to toast the
sandwich.

2. Evenly spread the sriracha-butter mixture onto the loaves of bread, on both
sides. You can use any bread you like, however sourdough bread works
best with this recipe.

3. Place one loaf of bread on a fry pan. Now we’ll start layering up our
sandwich on the pan.

4. Unload half of the shredded cheese onto the bread. Add the chopped up
jalapenos and habanero peppers on top. Drop down some more cheese. (If
you went with cheese slices, layer the peppers between the two cheese
slices.)

5. Complete the sandwich by placing the other loaf of bread on top. Flip the
sandwich upside down so that both sides are perfectly toasted. Once the
slices are nice and crusty, and the cheese has melted, take the sandwich off
the pan and slice it up diagonally. Plate it with some spicy potato crisps if
you’d like.
